| Spanish - I got Senorita Young again, and she's not bad. She really makes you work for your grade, which is okay. I may whine about work but I'm not afraid of it. I like work sometimes. Of course I gotta work doubly hard now. I only got a C+ last semester so I am thiiiiis close to losing my Spanish minor. Senorita Young still calls me 'la otra Jean' for some reason, but she also calls Jean 'la otra Kaye' so I guess that's fair. HEH. (for non-Spanish speakers, 'la otra' means 'the other,' which basically means that she mixes up our faces and I don't know why because other than the fact that Jean and I both wear glasses and have semi-wavy hair, I don't see the resemblance) ( long-ass post )I had two strange dreams but only one is worth retelling: I was repeatedly whacking Jonghyun over the head with my shoe and it caused a huge scandal in Korea. Well, not so strange if you consider the fact that my default threat for people who piss me off is "Sasapatusin ko yun eh," which roughly translated would entail using your shoe to victimize someone but I like to think that it's whacking someone repeatedly over the head with a shoe, but strange because I chose this method to teach him some respect. I think the netizens tried to dig up dirt to fuel their rage but they didn't do anything except sign a suicide petition and spam my LJ with mean comments. In the end, I made an entry on my LJ that said, "Dear netizens, go fuck yourselves," in sparkly rainbow text.

| On Saturday the 14th at 4AM UTC/GMT we will be upgrading the operating system of our network load balancers to a newer version, one that will allow us to use both CPUs! Nifty, because multiprocessing is nice. Since we have 2 load balancers, the plan is to upgrade 1 at a time, and there really should be very little impact to our website. Hopefully you won't notice a thing and I'll get to go back to the hotel and watch some wonderful late night infomercials. We've got a lot of exciting projects coming up for 2010 and we're hoping that we'll be able to deliver them all to you, that you will find it useful/cool/lovely and then you will use the site even more. Behind-the-scenes work like this will give us the capacity to handle the anticipated traffic, so expect a few more maintenance windows especially in the beginning of next year as we've got some neat ideas to improve performance around here! We had the recent 30-45 minute outage yesterday due to one of our logging databases filling up disk space -- not so great design coupled with my human error in handling the initial problem -- and it looks like we're going to finally have some resources to eliminate stuff like that. I can't wait! As usual, I will be updating status.livejournal.org before and after, just in case you are not able to reach our main website during the work. | |

See, Yabu and Hikaru's high school graduations were all reported on TV, or at least, got a fair amount of media coverage. I found clips of Hikaru's graduation from horikoshi, and for Yabu's I found a newspaper cutout (?). I haven't seen much about Yuuyan or Inoo-chan's.
Is it cos they weren't in Horikoshi...? Or... what?
I'm not really sure about this, so please correct me if I'm wrong. I think Dai-chan is graduating next year, right?
If there are news reports or pictures of Inoo-chan or Yuuyan's graduation, I'd like to see them ^.^" onegaishimasu~! | |

| I forgot to mention the AMAZING find I made (well Taylor made) at the con! There is this booth that sells REALLY old shows/movies on dvd. Times Forgotten DVD. THEY ARE AWESOME!! And look what I bought for only TEN DOLLARS!  MARY MARTIN PETER PAN!!! ONLY THE BEST PETER PAN EVER AND A HUGE STAPLE OF MY CHILDHOOD!!! I knew that my amazing boyfriend was thinking of getting me the insanely priced copy off Amazon. So, I'm happy I was able to save him all that money. (I love you for even thinking of it, sweetie.) I also bought James a bunch of dvds from that place. But I can't say them here and ruin his surprise. He does know about the copy of Generation X I bought him. I can't wait to watch it in all it's horrible glory. (The best part is when my parents saw the dvd cover they thought it was porn. LOL) | |

| Haro guys! I am over the moon now after receiving a message from a friend that says HSJ was on TV just now. Oh btw, I am from Malaysia. (^_^)
Okay, I am not very sure what program it was but it was definitely an entertainment program. If I am not mistaken, it's a Hong Kong entertainment program. My friend told me that the news was about HSJ's concert. I wonder if it was the news about their coming concert or their previous summer concert? Anyways, she's not so into HSJ so I didn't get much information from her.
It was on channel 314, Astro. Ne minna, mita? Has anyone of you seen it? Please leave a comment if you've seen it! I would love to know what the news was about in more detail.. xD
Actually, I am happy because...HSJ's popularity has reached HK and Malaysia? Maybe? Haha. If that's so, then it's absolutely great. SUGOI. Ne? Teehee ^^

| Disclaimer for picture quality: For anyone who has been in those hotel rooms where they stage the actor talks, you know that the lighting is ATROCIOUS. And unfortunately, I was STUPID and forgot to switch the white balance on my camera at first. Thus, Cliff and Ben are far more yellow than the others. I apologize. The other issue I couldn't help, in those types of harsh lighting situations I had to have the ISO pumped all the way up to 1600. So, when I do fix the lighting and color in the images I can't help the grain. Lastly, any large blurry spots at the bottom of the images are thanks to the hair of the lady in front of me. I wanted to dump wanter on her and flatten her hair down. >.O This year's con was at the LA Marriott (same place we went to for Gallifrey this year) and let me tell you, this is NOT my favorite hotel. I mean, the rooms are okay and the facility is nice for a small convention, but the elevators are HORRIBLE and they make you wait like 15 minutes. And this time they never gave us a refrigerator so we had to keep our food in bags of ice in the trash can. Yes. We are ghetto. But, we had food all weekend and we spent a total of $40 for both of us. Don't judge us by the fact that we at tune made ( in the bathroom. )I don't know why, but there were hardly any people at the convention this year. I'm going to go ahead and blame Stargate Universe. :D But you guys don't care about any of that crap do you, lets move onward to the talent that came. | I was supposed to update this Friday to talk about my first week back in school but what I am feeling now is PURE UNADULTERATED KILIG.

I'm not sure what the English translation of 'kilig' is. The closest would be giddy, I suppose, kind of like when you're in high school and the boy/girl you like smiles at you from across the room, or touches your hair, but 'giddy' doesn't really encompass the full emotional experience. Like I listened to Taec's introduction in full for the first time (I listened to it yesterday when it came out but I was kind of zoned out due to frustration at my CD burner) a few minutes ago in an extremely public place and I just had like this slow, silly grin forming on my face, crouching low and squirming in my seat going, "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
Yeah. Haven't downloaded the full album yet but so far, I'm liking what I'm hearing. I've been hearing people going, "This isn't the 2PM I fell in love with DDDD8" and I hate those kinds of comments. I mean, yeah it sounds really different but aren't musicians supposed to like have a progression and evolution of sound? I'm fully buying this album, boycott be damned.
Unless they mean it's not the 2PM they fell in love with because the 2PM they fell in love with had 7 members, but whatever.
